With all the busyness leading to the holiday season, we almost forgot the site became 1 year old! We made the site public at the end of November 2007. A lot of things have happened since: our 70 designs are double what we started with, we have a blog we like and we introduced the 20% “T-shirt of the Week” discount.
Happy birthday little site! We hope you grow to be a lovely big one!

The travel industry has never seen this kind of discount. No, we are not discounting tickets. Why buy a train ticket when you can have your very own steam locomotive for 20% off the regular price? Get on board and choo-choo-choose this.

Feeling like a cargo train trying to get presents for everyone this holiday season? We know what you mean. Introducing the Steam Locomotive to help you power through that shopping maybe not faster, but more loudly, with more style and with more bells and whistles. Think of it as a little reminder to let out some steam every once in a while.
Available now in the ALBINO on-line shop.

Our collection just got a whole lot more dangerous with the addition of Kathryn’s new design “Sharks“. These three guys seem to be circling our shirts and they have an enormous appetite for colour. Any colour markers we put near them they devoured in a frenzy! Thankfully, when Kathryn designed them, she also devised a colection of colour schemes to help with their peculiar diet.
Available now in the ALBINO on-line shop.

Snap-snap! Big pinchers, strong armour. If the lobster joinned the Navy he would have been promoted to armoured submarine in an instant. Insted he chooses to linger on the seabed picking fights with other lobsters. He can sit on your chest and let you colour him in while he fends off anyone who tries to pick a fight with you! This week only you can get him for 20% less protection money than normal.

Lost At E Minor showcases the work of some very interesting artists. It is filled with inspirational pop-culture illustrations, photographs, music, design, products and more. We have been subscribers to their e-mail newsletter for a long time now and you can imagine our excitement when our very own Fly T-shirt showed up amongst their posts with some very good words attached! Kathryn shared this fact with me in a very excited manner at midday Australian time but we live in Greece which made it four o’clock in the morning!
Here’s a quote from them: “These t-shirts by Greek company Albino are colourinable, so kids can add their own little splashes of colour and then cruise the streets with their own artwork emblazoned proudly across their chests.” Some content in the following link might be rated M15+ for mature audiences so make sure you are over 15 before clicking: Read more at Lost At E Minor…
Lost At E Minor is one online publication I do not mind missing some sleep over. Thanks guys!

There are some design blogs we love to read everyday and swissmiss is one of our most favourite. She has her own design studio in NYC and she likes to cover design in a very diverse way. According to Home Rejuvination, her blog is one of the 10 most influential design blogs of 2008.
Well, she just wrote a post about our ALBINO shirts and put us in her kids’ gift guide, yeay! From all our publicity shots, she decided on the master of colour himself: the Chameleon. Nice choice.
Thank you swissmiss!

He is one of our publicity stars appearing in our press photos and our frontpage animation. He always wanted to be your friend anyway but now the priviledge will cost you 20% less than normal. Yes, the Basset Hound is our new T-shirt of the week. Woof woof!

Looks like some of our customers have blogs. This one, Colette, decided to share the ALBINO fun with her readers. We have put a few of her pictures up on our blog but you should head over to the Sew Tessuti blog to read the full post and see some extra pictures.

The two T-shirts unboxed and their markers before colouring in.

The owl butterfly partially coloured in. Notice the instruction booklet to the side. You can see the completed practice sheets. Also notice how little she has to hold down the shirt thanks to our unique fabric stabilizing method.

And our sinister frog is looking positively green!
The girls did a great job colouring-in the shirts. We hope their little cousins will like them.
Thanks Colette! Fantastic pictures, great post!
Apart from her great blog, Sew Tessuti, Colette and her husband Greg also own Tessuti fabrics. Tessuti sells designer fabrics collected from all over the world … and beautiful they are. They have several stores in Sydney but if you can’t get to one then visit their online shop.

Exciting stuff people! Style magazine from Australia has briefly mentioned our product in their “Baby style” section. We really love this because this magazine goes out to women and mothers in country NSW. From the horse’s mouth:
“Indulge your child’s inner fashion designer with these super cute Albino colourinable t-shirts. A rewarding and creative project, the t-shirts come in a variety of designs and you can purchase different coloured markers to create the ultimate fashion statement! www.myalbino .com”
Thanks Jacqui!
